SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

We are seeking a results‑driven Senior Accountant to take ownership of financial management and ensure the integrity of our Finance function. This role oversees inventory accounting, payroll compliance, multi‑currency cashbook management, VAT submissions, fixed assets, and statutory reporting. Acting as the control layer between the transactional team and the Finance Manager, the Senior Accountant leads a team of seven and ensures strong compliance, accuracy, and efficiency across all financial processes.

Inventory & Costing: Manage stock controls, landed costs, and valuations.

Payroll Compliance: Perform reconciliations and EMP201/EMP501 submissions.

Banking & Cashbook: Oversee multi‑currency accounts, reconciliations, and forex allocations.

VAT & Statutory Reporting: Prepare VAT201 returns and Stats SA reports.

Fixed Assets & Audit: Maintain asset register, depreciation, and audit files.

Leadership: Guide, train, and performance‑manage a finance team.

• Strong knowledge of IFRS / IFRS for SMEs.
• Expertise in tax compliance, audits, and reconciliations.
